The Adirondack Center for Writing offers a two-week residency from October 5 to October 19 to six poets, fiction writers, or creative nonfiction writers at a lodge on Twitchell Lake in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in New York. Residents... Residencies can be found in urban or rural areas, serving one artist at a time or 50. Some support one artistic genre while most are interdisciplinary, welcoming visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, scholars and other creative individuals. The Blackacre Writing Residency is located in a beautiful, 300 acre forest and nature preserve located near Louisville, KY. The writer receives a $200 honorarium, and resides, for 1 - 2 weeks, in a furnished house, on the grounds, offering all of the modern domestic necessities. Residencies are open to fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers and poets. Lodging is provided free of charge, however residents are responsible for their own meals, transportation and personal needs while at the residency. The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Residency Program offers academics, artists, thought leaders, policymakers, and practitioners a serene setting for residencies of up to one month conducive to focused, goal-oriented work, and the unparalleled opportunity to establish new connections with fellow residents from a wide array of backgrounds, disciplines, and geographies.
